  • What are the benefits of Studying Abroad?

  • Can one work while studying overseas?

    The opportunity for students to work part-time during studies varies from country to country. Generally if you pursue a course at a degree level or above you may be permitted to work while on an student visa. In Australia most students can work for 40 hours per fortnight, in UK, Canada, New Zealand students can work up to 20 hours per week, while in USA students cannot work off campus while studying.
  • How much money do I need to show for the visa?

    You must provide evidence that you (or your parent/guardian) have enough money to pay for your course and your living expenses. While many countries have a stipulated amount of funds it would require, some have broader more extensive guidelines. For instance, many countries like Australia, New Zealand or UK have a minimum living cost computed as per government standards. Students applying for visas in these countries, accordingly, must provide proof that the said amount is available with them in ready cash. Please see us for more details
  • What I undergo a visa interview and what questions will I be asked in the visa interview?

    The student visa interview is the most difficult part of the application process, and you must be well-prepared to answer the questions to the satisfaction of the visa officer. This visa interview will be thedeciding factor as to whether you will receive the student visa or not.
    The visa officer may ask the students various questions related to their past qualification, why they want to study in that country, their future plans and goals, family background, sponsor’s details etc. to determine the your genuine intentions.
    Hints for the interview:
    • Be well prepared and well informed about the university, program of study, costs and sum up your educational objectives
    • Be able to justify his/her choice of studying in United States and how it will benefit in career prospectus back home in India
    • Be aware of the career options after completing the course
    • Demonstrate strong economic, social and cultural ties in India
    • Be aware of sponsor’s (preferably parents)income and nature of work
    • Be well acquainted with own education qualification including university / college credentials in India
    • Finally be able to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds currently available to pay first year tuition fee and living expenses and that funds will be available for additional years until the course of study in completed

  • Do I need an education agent?

    It’s not compulsory to use the services of education agents and you can apply on your own. However most agents have up-to-date course information from many overseas institutions and are trained by universities/colleges in admission procedures, they are also required to be aware of any changes to visa policy. This means they can give you accurate information that is tailored to your needs.An education agent can give you information about your options for studying and living in abroad, and help you with your study and visa applications. In many cases, agents have studied abroad and are happy to share their experiences with you
  • What types of housing are available to me?

    When you are studying, it is important to have a good home base where you feel safe and relaxed. There are many accommodation options for international students:
    University-Managed Accommodation
    Most universities offer you the option of university-managed housing, with a variety of inclusions and facilities. These are usually located either on-campus or close to campus with fully-furnished accommodation. University-managed accommodation typically includes some (or all) meals and utilities in the cost of your rent. They will also often have staff on-site offering assistance for students
    Private Built Student Accommodation
    There are several privately-owned student accommodations for you to choose from abroad. These are located off-campus and offer a variety of facilities and accommodations styles and facilities, including fully furnished rooms
    Student Hostels
    Student hostels are off campus and this is affordable housing option where you’ll be responsible for preparing your meals and sharing the cost of utilities such as gas, water and electricity.Most hostels include a furnished bedroom (either private or shared) with access to communal facilities such as bathroom, laundry, kitchen and lounges
    Private Rentals
    If you’d prefer to have more independence, you can rent a property either on your own or with friends. If you choose to rent privately, you’ll be responsible for all utility costs and preparing all your meals.Though you can find fully or partially furnished private rentals, usually you are responsible for providing your furniture
    Homestay
    A homestay is an arrangement where you can live with a local Australian family in their home. This arrangement will usually include a furnished room and meals, and access to cooking, laundry and internet facilities.Homestays allow you to improve your English language skills and experience local culture and lifestyle. This is a particularly good option for students under 18 years of age
  • Am I eligible for any scholarships?

    Most scholarships are merit based and very competitive. There are numerous government and university-specific scholarships designed to attract high performing students. In addition to this several independent bodies also offer scholarships for students with high merit.   • Is IELTS/TOEFL or PTE required for admission?

    Yes, a good score in one of the English proficiency test (like IELTS, TOEFL or PTE Academic) is mandatory for admission and visa approval. Most universities accept students with at least 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent score
