Student Visas

Any prospective student who wants to study in another country must obtain a student visa or student permit. This student visa or study permit is the permission that is granted by any country to a traveller permitting him/her entry into that country for the purpose of studying at a registered institute / university. This is a non-immigrant visa and granted for temporary stay only. Each country has different requirements and different processes and rules when you apply for a student visa. Applying for visas can feel like a difficult process and often confusing
You can generally begin your student visa application once you receive confirmation of your enrolment in your chosen university/institute. It is best to apply as early as possible as visa processing times can vary from country to country. For most countries you can apply for a visa online via their official websites.

For applying a student visa all students will require:

  • Evidence of enrolment in a recognised educational institution ( CAS or COE or I-20 or unconditional offer)
  • Evidence of your capacity to cover the cost of course tuition fees, living costs and travel costs for you and your family members for the duration of your stay.
  • A passport valid for at least six months beyond your period of stay.
  • Evidence of your English language proficiency (like IELTS OR TOEFL or PTE A) and undertake health examinations from approved clinic and/or police checks
  • Most students will also have to undergo a personal Interviews with visa officer
